Pete Durnell, Local Activist : Working to protect and improve the borough of Sandwell

Hello.  My name is Pete Durnell, welcome to my web site!

Formerly chairman of UKIP’s Sandwell branch, I have taken part in several council elections, and…

– fought John Spellar for the Parliamentary seat of Warley in the 2015 General Election

– was a candidate in the 2016 West Mids Police and Crime Commissioner election

– most recently contested the 2017 West Midlands Metro Mayor election,_2017

I left UKIP in November 2017, and am now concentrating on providing an independent voice on local and national issues.

(Almost) retired, I am currently chairing a group fighting to prevent Lion Farm Playing Fields from being turned into unnecessary and unwanted ‘posh shops’.

The borough of Sandwell has too little green space already,

 – we simply can not afford to lose another 19 hectares.

This is clearly a stupid and nonsensical development from every possible perspective, but Sandwell council seems determined to proceed with it,

– please click on the ‘Save Lion Farm Fields’ tab above to find out more.
